ROAD TO: MIAMI GP - 2025
When show and innovation collide:
The Miami Gran Prix it's a suggestive global event which combines sport, entratainment and business on a international scale. Behind the spectacle of single-seaters and renowned global figures, lies a world governed by essential legal frameworls - from sports law and commercial contracts to the protection of intellectual property.
How was the project born...?
After initially testing 75 circuits layouts and 36 different variants in downtown Miami iin August 2917, the organizers - Liberty Media and Apex Circuit Design - shifted their focus to the area surrounding the Hard Rock Stadium.
The original goal was to host the first Grand Prix as early as 2019, but complications related to permits and urban development plands delayed the debut.
The final track, built around the Hard Rock Stadium, features 19 corners, an average speed of approcimately 223 km/h, and a top speed of 320 km/h.
Miami thus became the eleventh U.S. location to host a Formula 1 event, starting from the 2022 season, under a ten year contract,
The event's popularity continues to grow: the 2024 edition recorded 275,000 spectators over the weekend, settung a new attendance record.
The Contract Behind the Event
Each Formula 1 Grand Prix is the result of a complex agreement between Formula One Management, local organizers, and numerous sponsors.
The Miami GP, in particular, stems from multi-year contracts that govern the management of commercial rights, hospitality services, and the involvement of international brands, such as "Crypto.com", which held the title sponsorship during the initial editions.
Strict compliance with these contractual clauses is essential; any breach could jeopardize the entire event, leading to significant economic and legal consequences.
